Pygmy Goats

The pygmy goat is a dwarf species bred from other miniature goat species. They are only about 38-61cms tall. They are super cute. Ours can be a little bit mischievous but are easily forgiven because of their cuteness!

  • The pygmy goat is a dwarf species bred from other miniature goat species. They are only about 38-61cms tall. They are super cute. Ours can be a little bit mischievous but are easily forgiven because of their cuteness!
  • You can tell the difference between a female and a male because a male pygmy goat grows a beard!
  • Pygmy goats communicate by bleating, that can sometimes sound like a scream!
  • They are very good at producing milk and can produce very large amounts for their small body size.

Come and meet them. You can see them in the paddocks in the spring and summer. All year they come up to the Animal Encounters Barn for cuddle sessions as part of our daily activities.
