FARM PARK & PLAY FAQS

What are your opening hours? Every day. April to October, 10am – 5.30pm. November to March, 10am – 4.30pm. The last entry is always one hour prior. Opening days and times may vary seasonally, for special holidays and events.

Can we bring our dog? Unfortunately, we are not able to welcome dogs to Occombe Farm Park & Play. The welfare of our animals is vitally important, which is why we don’t let dogs into the farm (apart from assistance dogs with up-to-date vaccinations).

Our main entrances are just off Preston Down Road. Follow the brown signs on aproach to Paignton. On the A3022 / Hellevoetsluis Way from whichever direction, head for the roundabout signposting Occombe Farm. Preston Down Road is off this roundabout and Occombe is a short way up on the left-hand side.

On-site parking is available across two car parks. Parking is free to all Occombe Farm customers. It can get very busy at peak times and spaces are limited. We really want to welcome you and therefore suggest that you might like to consider car-sharing, public transport, walking or cycling to Occombe? More on walking and public transport

We can’t wait to welcome you to Occombe Farm, but first, there’ some important bits of information to share…

We ask you to respect your safety, the safety of others and the welfare of our animals by observing the following…

  • Fences and gates in the Animal Barn are there for your own safety and for the welfare of our animals. Please do not climb or step over them.
  • Visitors must not enter any paddocks or pens without the express authorisation of a member of staff.
  • Our animals have sensitive tummies. Please only feed them with the snacks provided or purchased from our team.
  • Visitors should wash their hands at each designated station before moving between barns and paddocks to limit the spread of bacteria.
  • The animal paddocks are not suitable for picnics or eating food. Visitors should only consume food in the designated, signposted areas only.
  • Occombe Farm Park & Play is a no smoking or vaping attraction.
  • It is important to inform staff if you are pregnant, for the safety of you and your baby. You should avoid contact with sheep and goats if you are pregnant.
  • No dogs or pets will be permitted into Occombe Farm Park & Play. The welfare of our animals is vitally important, which is why we don’t let dogs into the farm (apart from assistance dogs with up-to-date vaccinations*). Please do not leave animals unattended in your car.
  • For safety reasons we do not allow barbeques, balls or balloons on the farm.
  • The use of radios, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades or skates are not permitted throughout Occombe.
  • ‘Heelys’ roller shoes must not be used as skates but may be worn as shoes.
  • Bicycles are not allowed inside Occombe Farm Park & Play.
  • The use of drones and other flying objects is prohibited.
  • Permission must be obtained for all filming and photography for commercial purposes.
  • Children under 16 years will not be admitted without an adult over the age of 18 years.
  • All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who accepts all responsibility for their supervision whilst visiting the farm.
  • Do not leave valuables in your car.
  • If you wish to return to your car after entering the farm, please inform the staff at the ticket desks and retain your original receipt to regain entry for that same day.
  • Occombe Farm Park & Play is committed to replacing and improving equipment, attractions, facilities, and introducing new ones. In line with this, we reserve the right to withdraw any attraction or to close part of/the entire farm at any time, without prior notice or compensation.

Occombe Farm reserves the right to refuse entry. Unacceptable behaviour, aggression and violence towards staff, other guests and animals will not be tolerated across Occombe Farm. Any person violating the terms of entry listed above will be asked to leave immediately.

*Assistance dogs

In order to make your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible, Assistance dogs are welcome in all public areas of Occombe Farm. The following policy has been put in place to ensure the safety of yourself, your dog and other members of the public throughout your visit.

When visiting Occombe Farm Park & Play with an Assistance Dog, we kindly ask that you contact us at least 24 hours before in order for us to offer you extra advice and guidance regarding close contact between your dog and our Farm animals.

Registered Assistance Dogs are welcome when accompanied by and under the control of their owners. These dogs must be registered and trained by one of the 8 accredited members of Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF). These include:

The above are all member organisations associated with Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK). All ADUK dogs adhere to the highest health, behaviour/training and welfare standards as set out by Assistance Dogs International and the International Guide Dogs Federation. It is essential that we are able to guarantee such standards to fulfil our biosecurity regulations, to keep both your dog and our animals safe, and why we do not permit access to animals not registered with one of the above organisations.

We regret we are unable to allow assistance dogs on site unless fully trained.

DAY TICKETS TERMS

  • All tickets to Occombe Farm Park & Play are non-refundable and non transferable. We reserve the right to use our discretion to award refunds in circumstances we deem to be exceptional. We don’t consider bad weather as an exceptional circumstance.
  • Should you have any pricing or ticketing queries or issues, you must inform our team upon arrival at the ticket desk.
  • We reserve the right to alter or withdraw any promotion or offer at any time and without prior notice.
  • To qualify for a Student Concession, you will be required to provide a current, valid Student, UNi-DAYS or NUS Card.
  • For visitors with a disability, your carer (one) is permitted to accompany you free of charge. A carer must be aged 12 years and over and capable of assisting you for the duration of your visit. Purchasing a ticket with a disabled concession requires submission of one of the following documents, at the time of purchase, in order to qualify: Disability living allowance letter, Blue badge or P.I.P payment award documentation. Regrettably, we are unable to process your concession without this.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry.

ONLINE TICKETS TERMS

IMPORTANT: Please read all the following information in full before purchasing advance tickets to visit Occombe Farm Park & Play. Continuing with your transaction constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions.

  • Online bookings for day tickets are valid for one visit within 3 months from the date of purchase.
  • The booking is valid for the named person(s) only. If you wish to transfer the booking into someone else’s name, please email us via occome@countryside-trust.org.uk.
  • You must present a copy of your booking confirmation (e-ticket) upon arrival, either printed or on your smartphone, at the ticket desks. Our team need to scan the barcode to redeem your purchase.
  • All tickets to Occombe Farm Park & Play are non-refundable and non-transferable. We reserve the right to use our discretion to award refunds in circumstances we deem to be exceptional. We don’t consider bad weather as an exceptional circumstance.
  • Extensions to tickets beyond the 3-month period will only be granted in exceptional circumstances. If you are unable to attend within the 3 month period, please email us at occombe@countryside-trust.org.uk
  • Should we be forced to close due to circumstances beyond our control, regrettably bookings cannot be carried forward or refunded. If we are obliged to close due to COVID restrictions we will be following government guidelines applicable to our local area.
  • All ticket prices and descriptions displayed on our website include VAT and are correct at the time of purchase. Prices can be subject to change on the website without prior notice.
  • Occombe Farm Park & Play is committed to replacing and improving equipment, attractions and facilities. In line with this, we reserve the right to withdraw any attraction or to close part of/the entire farm at any time, without prior notice or compensation.
  • We reserve the right to alter or withdraw any promotion or offer at any time, without prior notice.
  • All visitors must follow and comply with all Farm Park Health & Safety regulations and guidelines. Failure to do so, result in a request to leave the farm without a refund.

OCCOMBE FARM PARK & PLAY ANNUAL PASSES TERMS

  • Photo identification is required to validate your Annual Pass. A picture will be taken of you and each member of your nominated group, on your first visit following purchase or at the time of purchase. Under 2 years will not be required to submit a photograph.
  • As an Annual Pass holder you must produce your pass card on entry, on every visit. The Card should be with you at all times whilst on the farm. Only the person named on the card and pictured on the system will be permitted entry. Further ID may be asked for if the picture is not instantly identifiable.
  • Annual Passes are non-transferable and are for the named individual on the card only. If any card is found to be used falsely, and knowingly by the cardholder. We reserve the right to refuse entry and cancel an Annual Pass, including the benefits.
  • Annual Passes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Purchasing or renewing an Annual Pass with a disabled concession requires submission of one of the following documents, at time of purchase, in order to qualify for the concession; Disability living allowance letter, Blue badge or P.I.P payment award documentation. Regrettably, we are unable to process your concession without this.
  • To take advantage of your Annual Pass discounts in the Farm Shop and Cafes you just need to show your valid Annual Pass card prior to payment. Unfortunately, discounts cannot be given without production of your valid card.
  • Annual Pass benefits are subject to change and could be withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
  • Replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged pass will incur an admin fee of £2.50. Any previous cards will be cancelled.
  • We will not tolerate physical or verbal threats towards our staff. Any pass holder behaving inappropriately will be denied access and asked to leave immediately. In these circumstances cancellation of your pass, without refund, may result.
